I have played with some of the Web 2.0 award winners now. Some, like Google docs, I discovered on my own. Well actually, having gmail, it kind of told me about it. Last week I was struggling to write a review of a DVD series that I thought was pretty bad. Every time I tried to write something nice about these videos, I just couldn’t do it. They weren’t the worst things I’d ever seen, but they were so limited in scope, I knew if I was a librarian and bought these based on the faint praise they read in this review, I’d be mad at me. As I wrote and rewrote, I did it on Google docs. I wrote some at school, rewrote at home, etc. It certainly makes it less painful that I don’t have a laptop.
I like Etsy, since fiber arts are my thing. It’s quite inspiring, but I need to figure out how to narrow down what I’m really looking for. I played around with Craigslist, remembering that it helped a lot of people during Hurricane Katrina. It seems to know one’s location, which is a bit creepy, based I guess on some clicks I made. I ended up posting an item for sale. Haven’t gotten any nibbles yet. In the meanwhile I used the cocktail builder to make something refreshing (or should I say del.icio.us) from the ingredients in my pantry.
