Thank you for the laugh. I am in the same situation. The school I'm at use to be a high school, and has been an elementary school for at least 30 years. I'm still finding HS titles. One book I pulled, copy right about 1945, talked about the fact that every one will be zooming about in their personal helicopters at 200 mph in the 1980s.

It keeps our jobs interesting!

One of the good things about blogging is indeed, the connections that get made. But another thing is that you don't need to give instant brilliant responses...you do have time to savor the thoughts, re-write and re-think before you hit the 'send' button. I'm beginning to think that it's ok to do this blog thing - being quite private myself - because really, the conversation is worth it!

Today is July 24th. I hope you've been able to take some time to fiddle around with the next week's lessons - getting to know the tools of the internet can be hard for us 'mature' folks, but I've been finding out that there are some nice things out there to play with and to be both silly and serious with.
Feel free to drop in the CSLA blogroll and comment on other's blogs and invite them to yours- that way you'll begin to make those virtual contacts that could lead you to great things! The cal curriculum wiki is already shaping up with some fantastic ideas for school uses of the 2.0 tools.

I love your blog image - did you take the picture?
